FEMeeting 2024 Windsor: program released!

FEMeeting, Cultivamos Cultura in collaboration with Ectopia Lab and InArts Lab, has the pleasure to announce the organization of the fifth conference FEMeeting: Women in Art, Science and Technology, co-hosted by INCUBATOR Art Lab and IOTA Institute. FEMeeting 2024 is taking place, from 23 to 28 June 2024, in the School of Creative Arts at The University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. FEMeeting 2024 is particularly interested in hearing about the experiences of BIPOC, trans women, non-binary women, gender queer women, and people living with disabilities. This year’s call for presentations was extended to proposals for gallery exhibitions, multimedia and film screening events, and workshop presentations. Additionally, the initiative FEMeeting SisterLabs 2024 was organized in NY, Buffalo, NY, Troy and Toronto, Ontario to support and lead to the FEMeeting conference.

To facilitate personal networking, most of the program is organized as closed sessions, only for the conference speakers, but the program also includes two plenaries and two art events, open to the public that aim to encourage participation and attendance among all individuals interested in the topics of the conference independently of their gender. Due to the large number of participants, FEMeeting 2024 program will run in two parallel sessions (A&B) and to allow a further level of interaction among its speakers the organization has prepared a series of workshops and scientific tours available for a limited number of seats. All these events with the exception of plenaries, which takes place at the Capitol Theatre, will take place at the Armouries Building and at the Alan Wildeman Center for Creative Arts.
